As part of Luminus ShamalSart’s efforts to empower youth in Jordan, it has launched the Entrepreneurial Engineer Project in cooperation with the Jordanian Engineers Association, in which it will support entrepreneurs to establish their startups and confidently enter and navigate the business world.
The project will be used as an incubation and development platform for the pioneering engineers’ projects, where the applicants will be provided with necessary resources and financial support, in addition to enabling them to use the “FabLab Irbid” digital manufacturing laboratory, so that they can unleash their capabilities and transform their promising ideas into real businesses that serve their communities.
The program’s idea was based on ShamalStar’s experience with the Jordanian Engineers Association in Mafraq in 2019, where it stimulated engineers to find solutions to problems related to their community by harnessing creative ideas and turning them into prototypes and then execute them into successful projects.
Therefore, after the great success that was accomplished by the implementation of the project in Mafraq, Luminus ShamalStart sought to expand the idea and include the Jordanin Engineers Association branches in the north of the Kingdom and other branches by launching an application platform that aims to help the engineers who are affiliated with the Jordanian Engineers Association and have ideas supported by a prototype of their ideas to participate and benefit from the support and services provided by Luminus ShamalStart.
Notably, the winners will be provided by financial funds through the competent jury, and they will be able to get the vocational and technical training they need at “FabLab Irbid” digital manufacturing laboratory that will enable them to explore and uncover their manufacturing potential and empower them to embark on their business journeys and transform their ideas into actual prototype.
